Q:

How do I connect to the UNC network?

A:

In order to use the campus network you will need a properly configured and registered Ethernet card or Wireless card. Ethernet/wireless cards can be obtained at the [ http://store.unc.edu/ram/ ] RAM Shop in the Student Stores or any electronics retailer.

After you get your card, see our [ http://help.unc.edu/?id=4924 ] Connecting to the UNC Network - Getting Started document for detailed setup instructions.

Networking ports are located in each on-campus residence hall and in all buildings on-campus. See our up-to-date list of [ http://help.unc.edu/?id=849 ] Wireless Locations to see if you are near a wireless zone. We are constantly adding network access as time and funds permit.
