How do I create or manage space for a course website outside of Blackboard?

A:

Course Web space outside of Blackboard is available for any course, campuswide, at http://www.unc.edu/courses. This space can be advantageous for faculty who wish to create a highly customized or public course Web site.

To create this space or manage it, go to https://onyen.unc.edu/cgi-bin/course_space/setup to enter the Course Web Space Tool.

This tool allows you to:

  • Create course space immediately upon request. You will no longer have to wait for the space to be created

  • Copy files easily from a previous semester's Course Space to the space for an upcoming semester

  • Manage who is allowed to upload and revise materials in your Course Space without having to submit a request
