How can I create an announcement-only list?

A:

If you would like to have a list for announcements, where normal members cannot reply to posts, follow these instructions:

  1. Create a closed list via http://mail.unc.edu/lists

  2. Login to manage the list via http://mail.unc.edu/lists

  3. Go to UtilitiesList SettingsEmail Submitted ContentSecurity, and set Only admins can send: to yes

  4. Add members to the list

  5. Give admin rights to the users that are allowed to post to the list

  6. Under UtilitiesList SettingsEmail Submitted ContentHeader Rewrites, consider making adjustments to direct replies to a seperate address off the list
