Introduction
Getting connected to the UNC-Chapel Hill network involves two actions: registering your network card(s) and configuring your computer for the network. If you purchased a CCI computer and attended the training session at CTOPS then your computer should be pre-configured and ready to plug in without following these steps.
Before you can register and configure your network card(s), it must be installed. Please install your network card(s) according to the manufacturer's instructions and return to this document. Your computer may ask you for your Windows 95/98 CD-Rom while configuring your network card(s), so be sure to have them handy. If you have purchased a CCI computer, your network card should already be installed.
If you haven't registered your card yet, then see [ http://help.unc.edu/?id=4925 ] Step 1: Win 95/98/Me Registration.
