Q:

Are there any problems in trying to locate someone by last name with the Oracle Desktop Calendar Client?

A:

Whether you're trying to open someone's agenda ( Ctrl - O ), or locate a person ( Ctrl - L ), be sure to click the magnifying glass icon to search the directory. Do not simply type the person's last name into the Open Agenda For or Name box. Due to a bug in the Oracle Calendar desktop Client, if there is a person whose Onyen is the same as their last name, that person will be retrieved by the search, and you won't be given a list of names to choose from.

For example, if you were looking for David Goode, but you just entered "Goode" in the Open Agenda For or Name box, you would retrieve Susan Goode's agenda, because "goode" is Susan's Onyen as well as her last name. You would not be given a list of names where you could select the entry for David.
