Blackboard: Course Copy

Copying Course Content

In order to copy course content in Blackboard, follow this step-by-step procedure:

1. Navigate to the Control Panel for the course you wish to copy from.

2. Locate the Course Options section of the Control Panel, and click on the Course Copy link. Then click Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course. The Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course page will load.

3. The Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course page consists of three sections. In the first section, Select a Course, you are asked to enter the Course ID for the destination course, this is the course you are copying content into. Follow the instructions below:

4. Click the Courses tab.

5. Locate the information for the destination course. Click Select to the far right of the course you wish to copy to.

6. The Course ID will be placed in the Destination Course ID field.

7. In section two, Select Course Materials, click to check the boxes corresponding with the course materials you wish to copy into the destination course. Note that you can select all Content areas by clicking Content, or you can select individual content areas by clicking individual checkboxes for separate Content areas.

8. In section three, Select Enrollments, click to check the box if you want to copy enrollments for all users in the course. Copying enrollments does not copy user records, such as grades.

9. Once you have chosen all of the materials you wish to copy, click Submit to initiate the copy process.

10. You will receive a receipt page stating:

This course copy action has been successfully queued. You will receive an email when the process has been completed.

11. Click OK to return to the course Control Panel.
