A student has reported submitting an assignment, but a padlock icon displays in the Gradebook and there isn't a file to download. What's the problem?

The student has clicked the Save button rather than the Submit button. You have two choices for retrieving the file:

You can ask the student to return to the Assignment and click the Submit button rather than the Save button.

The file is available from the Item File Clean Up list. From the Gradebook, click the item's column heading, click Item Options, and then Item Clean Up.

when i try to submit my papers on the discussion board, it won't let me, it says i have to submit a message but theres no where for me to type a message in.How do I fix this?
