To burn a DVD

 DVD-R/W vs DVD+R/W

All lab computers can burn DVD+R or +RW discs. Only newer computers (the four closest to the Collaboratory) can also burn DVD-R or -RW discs. Look at your disc to see which kind it is, and use the appropriate computer.

 To burn a DVD

To burn a DVD in the lab, insert a blank DVD into the drive with the RW ReWriteable insignia on the right corner of the drive door.

The blank DVD dialog box should open automatically. Select Cancel .

Go to Start->All Programs->DVD Burning->Roxio Creator. If a registration dialog box comes up, hit Cancel and select Remind Me Later.

The Home screen will open up. Select Data on the left menu.

Select Data Disc on the left menu.

Drag and drop files into the Window. When ready, select the red Click button to continue button at the bottom-right corner.

The DVD will eject. Select Done and exit the program.
