Q:

How do I find out what release of SAS I'm using?

A:

You can find the SAS Release designation in the notes that appear in your SAS Log when you invoke SAS. For example, the following notes show that SAS Release 9.1 TS1M3 is running:

NOTE: Copyright (c) 2002-2003 by SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA.
NOTE: SAS (r) 9.1 (TS1M3)

You can also find the SAS Release designation by clicking on HelpAbout SAS System.

The TS level indicates the Release level within a Version of SAS and the maintenance level within the Release. In the above example, TS1M3 is the TS level indicating Release 1 of Version 9 (also referred to as Release 9.1 which appears before the TS Level), and maintenance release 3.
