Just wanted to add something. For Tiger 10.4 users who already have installed Pharos. Go to you Print & Fax. Select CCI Printing change the options for it and add a check box for 2000 sheets input tray (Tray 4) and also check the box infront of Duplex printing since they are not checked by default and someone forgot to add the picture for it under Tiger installation. Check out the image above under Leopard. It should be the same.

I'm running Mac OSX 1.4, and I cannot get this to work. I'm getting this error: "Failed to connect to the popup server." I reinstalled the printer several times and double-checked the popup utility settings.

Thank you for adding Mac printing. I got it working. Can I configure my print job to print on both sides? If not, I suggest making that the default print setting. Thanks

I had a mac user who had trouble setting Pharos on his Mac. After some investigations, I found out that he installed version 8.0 from Pharos website. The issue for him that the popup doesn't show up at the end of installation no matter what. AFAIK, ITS uses Pharos 6.1 so I went to this webpage and followed the instructions. We tried to install 6.1 but in the middle of installation after the license agreement we receive and error message "There is nothing to be installed" I went and extracted the .pkg using Pacifist and then copied the extracted files manually. to /usr and /Library directories. I clicked on Popup and it worked. We followed the remaining of the tutorial and put the URL and everything and we restarted. However, when we try to print out something. Pharos waits for 30 seconds to retrieve information about printing and then gives an error message and stops. This was in Davis lab on Mac Tiger 10.4 OS. We already selected HP 9050 printer. Please can you shed some light on this issue ?

I also want to extend my appreciation for adding the Mac printing option. However, I am having the same issue as Karthik on a Macbook running Leopard. The popup install ends with "Popup Error: Failed to listen for incoming popup jobs" and the window asking for the name of me and the document never comes up when attempting to print something.

JMT said:

thanks for adding the printing option for Macs. A PopUp set up assistant window came up during installation. Instructions on how to handle that window would be a helpful addition. Also, I just tried my print job and it said "Failed to connect to the popup server."

I work for ITS ResNET, and I just want to mention that these instructions do not work for Leopard directly. The Server Config popup never comes up after installation, and there is no evidence of Pharos on the computers. I had another RCC try this on his Macbook Pro running Leopard. And we also tried it with a client. All of us had the same problem - no popup. I would really like to work to get a solution do this, and I want it to be known that these instructions may not work with Leopard.
