Passwords expire every ninety days. If your password was working recently but now is not, then it may just be expired. Visit the [ https://onyen.unc.edu/cgi-bin/unc_id/chpw.pl#forgot ] Onyen Management Page to change your expired Onyen password to a new one.
To prevent you from having to do this in the future, we recommend you setup the [ http://help.unc.edu/?id=4274 ] Challenge-Response system. You will then be able to reset you own password after answering a series of questions, such as "Mother's Maiden Name, Date of Birth, or Favorite Teacher" etc.
