ITS offers a Network Attached Storage (NAS) file storage solution. The service is hosted on \\myfiles.unc.edu. Full time faculty and staff can subscribe to the service. They receive a personal allocation of 10 GB. (Please note: 2 GB is reserved for snapshots)
Subscribe to the service via the Onyen website: https://onyen.unc.edu
Click the “Subscribe to Services” button near the bottom of the page.
Enter your Onyen and associated password.
Click the button titled: NAS Personal Directory (myfiles.unc.edu).
(NOTE: You will only see this option if you are eligible to subscribe to the service.
To be eligible, you must be designated as permanent full time faculty or staff in the campus HR system.)
Your personal storage should now be available for use.
