Installing or Upgrading Citrix Receiver Applications

The Citrix Receiver  is a small piece of software code that after connecting allows you to interact with Virtual Lab. You can save your work to your home desktop or a USB-connected flash drive and print using your USB-connected and network printers. Also available is the ability to create print jobs and send them to CCI for printing.

To install the receiver, you need to select a web browser. Each browser has its own set of dialog boxes and instructions. The set of instructions below are for installing the receiver. Follow any set of instructions displayed on your screen that are specific to the web browser you are running.

You must be connected to the internet when installing the Citrix Receiver application to your Ios device.

Tap on the App Store icon on your device to bring up the Apple application store.

Search for Citrix Systems, Inc..

Find the Citrix Receiver app and tap on INSTALL.

You will be asked to type in your Apple ID Password. Type in your password and tap on OK.

The Citrix Receiver app will then be installed on your home page.

When installation has completed, tap on the Citrix Receiver app.

You will be directed to the Citrix Receiver Welcome page.

Tap on the Add Account icon.

Type in virtuallab.unc.edu in the Address box to create a New Account.

Tap on Next to verify the account.

Once the account has been verified, you will need to provide login authentication.

At the “Username” prompt, enter your assigned Onyen.

At the “Password” prompt, enter your Onyen password.

At the “Domain” prompt, enter ad.

Tap on Save. You will be directly connected to the Virtual Lab Applications List.

Logging on VL

Tap on the Citrix Receiver app on your home page to open the VL Citrix app.

Tap on the UNC Virtual Apps icon under the Log On box. If the Log On box does not automatically open, tap on the Apps tab.

You will need to provide login authentication.

At the “Username” prompt, enter your assigned Onyen.

At the “Password” prompt, enter your Onyen password.

Tap on OK.

Congratulations! You have now accessed the Virtual Lab Applications List. Scroll down the menu to view available VL applications.
