Office 365 – UNC Holiday Calendar

In order to view the UNC Holidays on your calendar you will need to open a shared calendar called “UNC Holidays“. Please follow the instructions below to add the shared calendar:

Windows

Outlook 2013 and 2016

  • Open Outlook 2013. Click on Calendar icon.

  • On the Home tab, Click on Open Calendar and Open Shared Calendar.

  • On the Open Shared Calendar window. Click the Name.

  • On the Select Name: Global Address List window.  In the search field type in “UNC Holidays” then highlight in the section below. Click on OK.

  • On the Open Shared Calendar window. In the Name field “UNC Holidays” should listed. Click OK.

  • Once complete on the lower left section of Calendar.You will see the Shared Calendars.  In the list you should see “UNC Holidays“.

  • If you wish to merge the “UNC Holidays” calendar with your own you can click on the merge arrow.

Outlook 2010

  • Open Outlook 2010. Click on Calendar icon.

  • Open Outlook 2011. Click on Calendar icon.

  • On the Open Other User’s Folder window. Click the Find User.

  • On the Select User window.  In the search field type in “UNC Holidays“. Click on Find.

  • On the Open Other User’s Folder window. In the User: field “UNC Holidays” should listed. Click OK.

  • Once complete on the lower left section of Calendar.  You will see the Shared Calendars.  In the list you should see UNC Holidays.

  • Open Outlook 2016. Click on Calendar tab.

  • On the Home tab, Click on Open Shared Calendar.

  • On the Open Calendar… window. In the search field type in “UNC Holidays“. Click on Open.

  • Once complete on the lower left section of Calendar.  You will see the Shared Calendars.  In the list you should see UNC Holidays.

Outlook Web App (OWA)

    • Open OWA. Click on Calendar icon.

    • On the Calendar ribbon, Click on Share and Add Calendar.

    • On the Add Calendar window. Click the Name.

    • On the Select Name: Global Address List window.  In the search field (red arrow) type in “UNC Holidays” then click the magnify class to search. Click on Select –> then OK.

    • On the Add Calendar window. In the Name field “UNC Holidays” should listed. Click OK.

    • Once complete on the lower left section of Calendar.You will see the Shared Calendars.  In the list you should see “UNC Holidays“.
